Marques Harper has been appointed fashion editor for the Los Angeles Times.
Harper will lead The Times' fashion coverage, with an emphasis on how Southern California style influences the world.
Harper previously worked at the Austin American-Statesman as a fashion writer, columnist, stylist and metro reporter. At the Roanoke Times, he covered media and pop culture. His work has appeared in the New York Times, the Oregonian and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. A native of New Jersey, he is a graduate of Rutgers University.
