Curt Simmons

Curt Simmons, born in Whitehall Township, spent 20 years pitching for Major League Baseball teams, including 13 years with the Philadelphia Phillies. He's in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Simmons was one of the "Whiz Kids" — the Phillies' 1950 National League championship team. He pitched for the St. Louis Cardinals when the team won the 1964 World Series.
