Frank Scheck has passed away. He will be missed.

He was a coach, an athletic director and a physical education teacher with the Salisbury School District. He excelled in these careers and was recognized as a superior educator and one tough guy.

But many people did not see another side of him that dealt with his efforts in the student assistance program headed by Nick Palumbo.

Scheck was a valuable resource to kids who needed guidance, advice and, sometimes, just someone to talk to about life. He not only offered advice but, more importantly, also knew how to listen when boys and girls needed to bare their souls.

There are many people who will honor Frank Scheck and remember him as a teacher, but there are select others who had their lives changed and channeled by a caring adult with a heart of gold and who will remember him with fondness.
