Big question: Lucky Ashley (Lindsay Lohan) and unlucky Jake (Chris Pine) kiss and suddenly their fortunes are reversed. Does anyone really consider the result of running water on a crackling blow-dryer to be "bad luck"?
Skip it: Ashley and Jake are totally unfazed by their lips controlling an all-powerful force of destiny, and so oblivious that they probably wouldn't bat an eye at the prospect of double-dating with the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. Hardly anything in "Just My Luck" has to do with luck. It's just a girl taking her beauty and success for granted and a guy who blames fate every time he steps in a puddle.
Catch it: If you think the only thing funnier than a pet-poop joke are two pet-poop jokes.
Bottom line: Expect to tattoo your handprint on your forehead as the mind-numbing "Just My Luck" fails miserably at turning Lindsay Lohan into the next Kate Hudson. If you're hoping for a dumber romantic comedy this year, you're S.O.L.
Bonus: Need proof your band should quit playing and start schmoozing? The boys of the incredibly average real-life act McFly blow a bowling alley gig in the movie and then score a record deal simply because an exec owes their manager a favor.
