The Tasting Room
"Enjoyed the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere and attentive service. Great selection of wines. We also enjoyed the appetizers. The pizza and portabello mushroom sandwich we had were both amazing." -- Debbie B.
"What a treat for anyone looking for something new and different in Boystown. The interior is very attractive and the booths create great atmosphere. Our server was friendly, competent and delightful, and the food was superb! The sandwiches are delicious. I will be returning soon. Finally, a civilized alternative to late-night burritos." -- C.B.
"I've been in Chicago for 10 years and have had a difficult time finding East Coast pizza. My search has ended. This is the best pizza in Chicago. I like all kinds of pie, but always have a soft spot in my stomach for pizza pie that is thicker than thin crust and thinner than monster deep-dishes--and this is it!" -- David S.
"Good food and good suggestions from our server, Dave. We had fresh (not frozen), flash-fried squid with a nice trio of accompaniments; Hunan-style red snapper; and the black cod special. Worth the wait. Finally something worth staying in the neighborhood for!" -- D.N.
"I was happily surprised with Starfish. Excellent sushi and service. I expected it to be more expensive, but who wants cheap raw fish? I love the sashimi platter." -- Mark J.
"This is a unique bar with gothic-meets-modern decor. Brass sculptures adorn the brick walls. The fact that it's located on a dark street adds to the gothic 'Interview with the Vampire' effect. I enjoyed the apple-stuffed ravioli and steak appetizers, though they were on the petite side. The service was great. I like this place." -- S.N.
Simplon Orient Express
"Great for a taste of Serbian food and hospitality. Enjoyed the complimentary appetizer variety plate and the glass of slivovich after dinner!"
