The Aberdeen City Council will meet in regular session at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the courtroom on the third floor of the Municipal Building, 123 S. Lincoln St.
The agenda items for Monday include:
Wine license: Application for retail on-off sale wine license for Jonathan Hepola and Alfred Lamar Marshall dba Slackers, 115 S. Main Street, set hearing date of March 5 at 5:30 p.m.
Weight of trucks: Possible second reading and final adoption of Ordinance No. 12-02-02, amending Chapter 52 of the Aberdeen Municipal Code by adding a new Article IX regulating the weight of trucks.
Redistricting: Possible second reading and final adoption of Ordinance No. 12-02-03, amending Chapter 18 of the Aberdeen Municipal Code concerning redistricting.
Amendment: Possible first reading of Ordinance No. 12-02-04, amending Article II of Chapter 10 of the
Aberdeen Municipal Code dealing with the Aberdeen Airport Board.
Community event: Possible motion to take from the table for a discussion of the Community Event application for Jason Hepola for the Mingle on Main event July 13-14, 2012, on Main Street from First Avenue Southeast to Second Avenue Southeast.
Time extension: Possible approval or denial of the Community Event permit application for Jason Hepola for the Mingle on Main event on July 13-14, with time extension for both days of the event to midnight contingent upon having portable restroom facilities and hired security services by the Aberdeen Police Department.
Axle scales: Possible approval to authorize the acquisition of four Haenni WL101 wheel load weighers, which are portable axle scales, at a cost of $4,895.00 per unit for Aberdeen.
SkyWest: Possible approval to enter into an airline lease agreement with SkyWest Airlines and authorize the city manager to sign the Airport Lease No. 75 agreement.
Terminal renovations: Possible approval to enter into an agreement with Helms and Associates for professional services for AIP No. 3-46-0001-32-2012 terminal renovations.
Traffic control: Possible approval to award pavement marking paint bids for traffic control on Items No. 1 and No. 2 to Sherwin-Williams Co. in the amount of $24,684 and Item No. 3 to Flex-O-Lite in the amount of $2,080 as lowest responsible bidders and authorize the city manager and finance officer to sign the necessary documents after approval by the city attorney.
Letter of support: Possible approval of a motion which formalizes support to Wild Rose Development
Corporation for their application to SDHHHDA for tax credits to finance 37 units of affordable new senior housing.
Police department: Possible approval of an amendment to the Aberdeen Police Department's
budget in the amount of $19,580.
