Jeff Probst buys Gene Autry estate in Studio City
“Survivor” host Jeff Probst has purchased the Gene Autry estate in Studio City for $5 million.
Built in 1949 by the cowboy singer-actor, the forested 3.68-acre property had been donated by Autry’s widow, Jacqueline Autry, to the Autry National Center of the American West.
The two-story Monterey-style house of about 8,000 square feet has pegged hardwood floors, a family room with a wet bar, a library/media room with vintage walnut paneling, a breakfast room, five bedrooms and seven bathrooms.
Balconies overlook the acreage, which has winding paths and flower gardens. The grounds also include a guesthouse, a swimming pool and an outdoor entertainment area with a fireplace.
The residential property couldn’t be turned into a museum, so the Autry had no reason to hold onto it, trustee Stanley Schneider said. “The sale provided a substantial donation to the museum.”
Probst, 48, has hosted the reality show since it started in 2000. He has won four Emmys. Probst declined to comment.
Gene Autry’s signature song was “Back in the Saddle Again,” but his biggest hit was “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.” He owned the team now known as the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1961 to 1997, and died in 1998 at age 91.
The Autrys married in 1981. Jackie Autry, 69, lives in Palm Springs.
The estate came on the market last summer at $6.9 million.

Rapper will be close to his new gig
Cee Lo Green, who will be one of the judges on the NBC talent competition “The Voice,” has leased actor Frankie Muniz’s Hollywood Hills-area house, which was on the market for sale at $3,195,000 or for lease at $10,000 a month.
The gated home, built in 1941, has been remodeled with an open floor plan. The kitchen, dining room, living room, family room and two bedrooms occupy the lower level. Upstairs, the master bedroom suite has a sitting area, a fireplace and dual closets. Two additional bedrooms are on the upper level of the 4,200-square-foot home, which has four bathrooms.
Green, 36, who sang the cleaned-up “Forget You” version of his expletive-laced hit single at the Grammys this year, is part of the R&B/hip hop duo Gnarls Barkley. He will join Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine of Maroon 5 on “The Voice.”
Muniz, 25, was nominated for an Emmy for playing the title role in “Malcolm in the Middle” (2000-2006). He bought the house in 2006 for $3,499,000 and has been leasing it out.

‘Office’ worker lists his WeHo pad
John Krasinski, one of the stars of “The Office,” has listed his West Hollywood home for sale at $945,000.
The 1926 English country-style house is gated and sits behind hedges. The nearly 1,300-square-foot house features French doors, high ceilings and hardwood floors, according to details at Realtor.com. Including a detached guest studio, the property has three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
The 31-year-old actor has played underachiever and prankster Jim Halpert on the TV mockumentary since it began in 2005. He was in “It’s Complicated” (2009), “Away We Go” (2009) and “Leatherheads” (2008).
The property previously sold in 2006 for $1.05 million, according to public records.

Closing up their beach house
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have put their oceanfront Malibu beach house up for sale at $10 million, according to the MLS.
The three-story midcentury home, entered through a walled garden, has five bedrooms and five bathrooms in its 4,500 square feet of living space. The main level includes a living room with fireplace, a dining room, a kitchen and a powder room. The master suite and a wood-paneled library occupy the second floor. The top level has two ocean-facing bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office and a roof deck.
Heavy metal songwriter Ozzy Osbourne, 62, was the lead singer for Black Sabbath before launching his solo career. He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide during his four decades of performing. Sharon Osbourne, 58, is his manager and a co-host on “The Talk” (2010-present).
Public records show the couple bought the house in 2003 for $5.1 million.

Actor Billy Dee Williams has his Beverly Hills house on the market for $4,499,000.

Designed for entertaining, the 5,295-square-foot open plan home has French doors opening to a swimming pool, spa and deck. There are six bedrooms and six bathrooms.
Since Williams, 73, starred as Han Solo’s buddy Lando Calrissian in “Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back” (1980) and “Star Wars: Episode VI — Return of the Jedi” (1983), he has appeared on such TV shows as “General Hospital: Night Shift” (2007-08), “General Hospital” (2009) and “Diary of a Single Mom” (2009-10).
