DETROIT, Mich—Another year when the lockers were being cleaned out too early.
The Detroit Red Wings took their team photo and cleaned out their lockers at Joe Louis Arena on Tuesday after being knocked out of the Stanley Cup Playoffs by Nashville.
Now, the Red Wings head into the offseason with uncertainty surrounding their current roster. One thing is certain though: changes will be made.
Captain Nicklas Lidstrom will once again take his time to decide whether or not he will retire or come back to play another season with the Wings. The same goes for his country-mate Tomas Holmstrom.
Brad Stuart won't be retiring. But with his wife and children still living in California, he may leave the Wings this offseason as a free agent to a team closer to his family. Jiri Hudler is also an unrestricted free agent and may not be back next season.
