HOLTVILLE — The City Council here discussed Monday how to resolve a state citation the city received over water quality.
No decision was made on the issue, but two alternatives were proposed. The ideal plan would be to reconstruct the water tank, Waterworks Supervisor Frank Cornejo said, and Holtville should prepare to commit funds for the project, he said.
The other alternative is to install a so-called ultra violet disinfection system that costs $135,000 City Engineer Jack Holt said.
If built, the tank is expected to be operational in October 2012, City Manager Alex Meyerhoff said.
