Hard Luck brawl
Glass bottles were reportedly thrown during a brawl at the Hard Luck Tavern in the early hours of Friday.
The incident was reported shortly after midnight and involved about five males, according to El Centro police call logs, which list that Hispanics and African-American males were seen throwing bottles around.
No further information was available.
Hobo gets cheeky at eatery
A transient male near the McDonald’s restaurant drive-thru was reportedly bothering costumers for money Thursday afternoon and grew upset with the lack of response to the point of public exposure.
The male became upset when not given money and at one point he pulled his pants down and showed his rear end, the El Centro police call logs read.
The incident was reported shortly before 4 p.m. and by the time police responded to the call the transient was gone.
Theft yields essentials for nice date
A burglar took from an unlocked white Jeep near the 500 block of Tangerine Avenue the essentials for a date: a bottle of Hugo Boss cologne and a box of condoms.
The burglary was reported Thursday afternoon, according to police logs, which note the cologne was worth $40 and the box of condoms $3.
No suspect information was available.
Middle Eastern illegal caught
A citizen of Lebanon was caught for illegally crossing the border near here Tuesday.
Haji Ali Abbas is being charged by the U.S. Attorney for being previously in the country after having been previously deported, said Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Fabian Morales through an email.
Abbas is currently in federal custody in San Diego awaiting prosecution, Morales said.
