SEATTLE—Ferry holding lanes are full as the rush hour commute is delayed by what police are calling a 'suspicious package'. The Edmonds-Kingston ferry route is on hold until bomb experts investigate a piece of luggage wound in a dumpster at the Kingston terminal.
The 3:50 p.m. departure from Edmonds is sitting at the Kingston dock, but isn't being unloaded. The 4:30 sailing from Edmonds is loaded but not being allowed to leave, said Washington State Ferries spokeswoman Susan Harris-Huether.
The Washington State Patrol bomb squad is on the way.
