The FDA is recalling several products containing dry milk because they may be contaminated with salmonella
It's part of a national recall initiated after FDA investigators found salmonella in a Plainview Milk Products Cooperative plant last month.
Plainview recalled all instant non-fat dried milk, whey protein, fruit stabilizers and thickening agents made over the past two years. The ingredients from Plainview were sent to several companies, which used them to make different products. Now, all of those companies are issuing new recalls of their own.
Here are some of the products recalled so far:
Malt-O-Meal's Maple & Brown Sugar Instant Oatmeal
Land O Lakes International Drinking Cocoa "Madagascar Vanilla"
NOW Foods products containing whey protein concentrate
Alba instant nonfat dry milk products and snack shake mixes
Meijer Instant Nonfat Dry Milk & hot chocolate mix
Kroger popcorn toppings
