ROSLYN—It's been twenty years since the popular television comedy Northern Exposure first aired and the fans will mark the milestone by gathering in Roslyn to celebrate.
Moosefest 2010, named in honor of the moose in the show's opening credits, will take place from July 23rd through the 25th. Moosefest is organized by a committee of fans from across the country. This summer marks the twelfth annual gathering put on by the Moosefest organizers.
Darren Burrows, who played Native American film-maker Ed Chigliak, will headline the Moosefest activities. Grant Goodeve, who played Maggie's boyfriend Rick Pederson and William J. White, who played Dave the Cook, will also appear. Telephone interviews are scheduled with Rob Morrow who played Dr. Joel Fleischman and Cynthia Geary who played Shelly Tambo.
Moosefest 2010 events include a walking tour of Roslyn, a bus tour of filming sites, a trivia contest, telephone interviews with stars from the show and appearances by some of the show's actors at two catered dinners.
Friends of Roslyn, a charitable organization founded by Northern Exposure fans to support the arts and other charitable organizations in and around Roslyn, Washington, is sponsoring Moosefest 2010. Proceeds from Moosefest help support local organizations.
