The emergency landing of Flight 541 took place just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night. Sea-Tac officials say the pilot discovered a problem with the plane's flaps and wanted a long runway to land on, but since the longest runway at Sea-Tac is under construction, he took the next best option.
The plane is an Embraer 190, and had enough capacity to carry 93 passengers, but it's not clear how many people were on board when it landed. However, there have been no reports of anyone injured.
Still, it was probably quite a scene from the highway as several fire engines and ambulances rushed towards the plane.
