Seattle fell to 4-3, while San Francisco went to 5-2. The Seahawks have now lost four in a row to the 49ers.
As expected, it was a defensive battle in the first half. Seattle led 6-3 at the half on a pair of Steven Hauschka field goals.
The only touchdown in the game came in the third quarter when quarterback Alex Smith connected on a 12-yard pass to tight end Delanie Walker, who managed to get one foot into the end zone. With that score, San Francisco went up 10-6 and the 49ers never relinquished the lead after that.
It was the most impressive drive of the night.
After the Seahawks’ opening drive after the half stalled at the 49ers’ 43 and they had to punt, the 49ers had a 10-play, 86-yard drive that ended with Smith’s 12-yard TD pass to Walker. It was Smith to Gore for 10 yards. Smith to Kendall Hunter for 11. Smith to Gore for 12. Gore for 11. Smith to Michael Crabtree for 10 on third-and-9. And then the TD pass. The 49ers had seven first downs in the 10-play drive.
Seahawks QB Russell Wilson completed only three passes in the second half. Wilson completed hit on 9 of 23 passes for 122 yards, with no touchdowns and one interception for a quarterback rating of 38.7.
Smith completed 14 of 23 for 140 yards, with one touchdown and one interception for a QB rating of 74.5.Marshawn Lynch ran for 103 yards, but there wasn’t much offense from the Seahawks otherwise.
