Police are looking for a TV reality star that may have played a role of a young swimsuit model.
You may have seen him on the VH1 reality show, "Megan Wants a Millionaire," but police want to know if you've seen him on the streets of southern California. According to police, Ryan Alexander Jenkins is "a person of interest," in the murder of swimsuit model Jasmine Fiore.
"Our preliminary results and findings from the Orange County Coroner were that she was strangled," said Lt. Gary Worrall, of the Buena Vista Police Department.
Fiore's body was found inside a suitcase, and thrown in a dumpster in the city of Buena Park on Saturday morning.
"The last information that we have is that these two were at a poker game somewhere in San Diego. We don't have that location, that was the last time, they were seen together," said Worrall.
San Diego police and sheriff's deputies tell Fox 5 that they haven't been asked to help in the investigation. However, according to Buena Park police, there are reports the couple arrived in San Diego on Thursday. Police hope Jenkins' status as a reality star and that the couple were last seen at a poker tournament in San Diego, may help find him.
"I understand that he's somewhat of a celebrity, so he's fairly well known. So hopefully he's got a lot of people that know him and can come forward," said Worrall.
Police suspect that Jenkins may have fled to his home country of Canada in either a black-colored BMW X-5 with Alberta license plates, or Fiore's white-colored Mercedes CL-550 with paper license plates.
As for the couple's relationship, there are some reports the couple got married a few months ago, but had their marriage annulled.
"It is suspicious that after he reports her missing, he's nowhere to be found," said Worrall.
