Flu season is quickly approaching, and that means doctors are recommending you get immunized.
At Carrs Safeway you can get a flu vaccine for $30, plus a coupon for 10% off your shopping.
One pharmacist says flu season starts around mid-September. He recommends people get the shots now since they take about two weeks before they actually protect a person.
Pharmacist Ron miller says, "The earlier, the better because it's good for a year. So if you get it now it will carry through. The longer you have it, the more your body builds up resistance for the flu."
Other vaccines Carrs Safeway is offerings include the shingles vaccine, HPV serries of shots and pertussis, also known as whooping cough.
