"Luckily we don't have a lot of real expensive stuff just sitting around or they could have taken it," Ken McDaniel says.
But when thieves broke into the McDaniels' West Wichita house they did swipe all of oldest son Josh's jeans. They also stole his expensive coat and most of his younger brother's clothes and shoes.
Theirs was among a trio of burglaries on Wichita's West side which police say may be connected due to their proximity to each other.
Police say the homes are located on the 1,300 block of N. Coach House Rd., 12,000 block of W. Briarwood Circle, 1,400 block of Park Ridge Street. They were robbed between the hours of 9:00pm Saturday and 7:00am Sunday.
Investigators say 2 of the homes were broken into by an unlocked back door, one by a rear window that was forced open.
People were home at the time of all 3 burglaries.
Aside from the McDaniels' clothes, stolen items range from computer equipment, to car keys, to purses.
Investigators say they have no known suspects at this time.
