I am not sure how anyone can listen to Lou Dobbs. I got halfway through and just the drippingly sarcastic, snide voice was enough to make me feel like I was looking at and listening to someone a bit unhinged.

Dobbs and La Raza are both hindrances to a reasonable immigration debate. Dobbs is doubtlessly an agent of intolerance, whose celebration of Minutemen is by proxy a celebration of vehement anti-immigrant sentiment and potential violence.

La Raza is far too quick to play the "anyone who wants immigration reform is a racist" card. They don't pick their battles very well, and their attempts to silence the likes of Dobbs don't sit well with him, even if Dobbs is a borderline lunatic.

"Dobbs is doubtlessly an agent of intolerance"

Or..you are undoubtlessly someone that wants people to think that he is...we all watch him and most of us appreciate his contribution to this debate. Maybe you shouldn't watch him anymore and start donating your money to laraza and other mexican supremacists?

Except that I clearly explained how La Raza is poison to the national debate as well. But you're not discerning or intelligent enough to understand that, so I won't waste my time with you anymore. Bye bye.

Lol. Gotta love any excuse to mention college accolades.

Some of his illegal immigration reporting is sound, and some of it is way off.

He claimed that illegal immigrants make up 1/3 of our prison population. In actuality, illegal AND legal immigrants account for 6% of the prison population.

He reported that illegal immigrants were responsible for a "resurgance" in leprosy, and that there were 7,000 cases in the last three years. In truth, there were 7,029 cases in the last THIRTY years.

"And it's costing us, no one knows precisely how much, to incarcerate what is about a third of our prison population who are illegal aliens."
- Lou Dobbs, March 28, 2006

"Over all — combining federal and state prisons — 6.4 percent of the nation's prisoners were noncitizens in 2005. This is down from 6.8 percent in 2000."
- New York Times, May 30, 2007

We're about done here, seeing as I'm presenting facts, and you're just going: "Um, um... prove it, smart guy!" Have fun on the fringe w/ Lou.
