CHANGING THE LANDSCAPE: Architect Jesse Bornstein's five-unit town home project on 19th Street in Santa Monica -- called Green on 19 -- incorporates more environmentally friendly features than most multifamily housing developments that market themselves as green. Solar panels, for example, are an integral part of the architectural design. The low-water landscaping is dotted with kangaroo paw and black acacia trees.
