North Palisade - Glen Dawson
Glen Dawson, 96, the patriarch of Sierra mountaineering, stands next to a table in his Pasadena apartment that holds books and records of his exploits. He was in the first party to scale the east face of Mt. Whitney in 1931. He climbed with Brower and served with him in World War II.
