Police have identified a woman who was struck and killed by a chartered school bus while she was crossing the street this morning in the Westlake area.

Vicky Noh, 31, of Los Angeles, was walking east on Wilshire Boulevard across New Hampshire Avenue in a crosswalk at a traffic light with the "walk" signal at about 8 a.m. when she was hit by the bus, said Los Angeles Police Department Officer Jason Lee.

No one else was injured, a police spokesman said.

The bus was eastbound on Wilshire, attempting to turn north onto New Hampshire when it struck Noh, and the driver fled the scene, Lee said.

Investigators are still trying to find the driver to determine what company or school the bus is affiliated with and whether any students were passengers at the time of the crash, Lee said.

He said no arrests had been made in connection with the crash this afternoon.
