Egrets in Memorial Park, Glenn County, Northern California

Egrets land in Memorial Park in Willows, California. More than 1,000 birds are nesting there, turning patches of lawn a lunar gray and showering the grass with broken shells and feathers. Officials say their guano is slowly killing 60-foot redwoods and pines. More photos >>>
