Former San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy Ivory J. Webb Jr. is on trial for attempted voluntary manslaughter in the 2006 shooting of an unarmed Air Force police officer during a traffic stop. Airman Elio Carrion was shot after the deputy pursued the Corvette in which he was a passenger at high speed through the streets of Chino. Webb has pleaded not guilty.

Lawyers began the jury screening process Monday in the trial of Ivory J.
