  • Iremember being a young kid and my dad would drive and let me see all the strange people wraped up in ti nfoil and all sorts of strange atire. Van Tassel tried starting a church first. when that failed he shifted gears . During one space convention he hired a pilot named tracy marcom to put non standard lights on his airplane, comeover the moutian from the west cut the motor fly around a little on a dark night then befor he got to low he would retreat behind the moutian. his kids went to school in twentynine palms.

  • In the early 1970's my father and mother became friends with George Van Tassel and his wife, Doris. One weekend in October, 1970 the 17th annual Flying Saucer Convention at the Giant Rock Airport took place where a throng of 8,000 gathered. Van Tassel gave them a book that explains his philosophies. People will believe anything and Van Tassell supported himself for years while building the Integratron. People from all over the world sent their money to finish the dome that would rejuvenate their cells so that they could live forever. I still have the book he gave to my parents so long ago.

  • It's not about the sisters that own it or the UFO history or Giant Rock.Even though all are beautiful and add alot to the outer experence. It's about the depth you can go inside yourself in a short period of time. Once there, there is a whole inner world to explore. "Find your self at the Integratron"

  • And, The sisters do a wonderful job of supporting events at the Integratron as well as offering their own therapeutic sound healing experiences. The sisters are part of what makes the Integratron a special experience. Although I have moved from Southern California and have not been to the Integratron in 5 years, my concerts there have been some of my most professionally rewarding. The unique "energy" there creates an environment that seems to support an artist in going beyond their perceived talent and ability. Go there and experience your own magic.

  • I've had many astounding experiences at the Integratron. The first was while evaluating the acoustics to determine if they were suitable for for a flute concert. Not only were they superior to many venues I've performed at, I found that I lost track of linear time while testing my flutes. I thought I was there for 15 minutes. But when I was through, I looked at my watch and 1 1/2 hours had passed. I ended up giving more than one concert at this special venue and highly recommend it for any musician, recording artist, workshop fascilitator or audience.

  • In the early 60's we met the people at Giant Rock and Van Tassel. There was [is?] a concrete ring with a pipe standing up in the middle that was a "Flying Saucer Refueling Station" according to him. The building you see was built with out metal fasteners. Each year. The facility was called "The College of Universal Wisdom" and had a sign to that effect. There we meetings with flying saucer people and we once drove them nuts firing sky rockets over the area! Thy went nuts pointing out the "flying saucers"!!! What fun we had as teenagers. It attracted a lot of "fruitcakes" and guess it still does...

  • I remember the Intergratron when it was still pretty new in the early 70s. Giant Rock Airport was still active, as well as the cafe that Van Tassel owned and operated. I find it intriguing 35 years later that so many people would put their hopes and trust in a wooden structure, designed by a man who was probably just having fun with the whole U.F.O. genre.

  • Very similar story line to the tv show Lost. Wonder if the writers are regulars at Integratron.....

  • One more thing that will be RUINED by the LADWP's enviro-disastrous power project cynically called "Green Path," since this is right on their "proposed route." They would rather totally destroy this whole Joshua Tree area with "wind and solar farms" than let us have solar panels on our roofs here in LA. It's Chinatown, all over again, even though we have the tech to be NET exporters of renewable power just on rooftops here.
