People on here saying for gang members to get locked up for some petty injuction but the thing is if they do, they'll come out more violent and worse than before. Understand this: you and I pay taxes to house gangsters or any other criminal for that matter in the penal system. Honestly do you think it's feasable to lock a kid up for petty "crimes" and turn out hardcore members?? LA has a gang culture that will never go away but to save those that are on the fence this method will not help but hinder and instigate. Think about that. Jail isn't always the answer because they have to come out eventually.

Well, yes there needs to be more jobs and things to do for the youth. Obviously broken families and the like are causing these urban terrorists to regenerate over generation after generation..these problems need to be addressed By the same token it.. I teach special ed kids (jr high level) and i see the "gang wannabees" everyday they really dont listen to anyone...so the family of them needs to help this HUGE problem....

Everytime I read of what a mess life in the USA is, it just make me sick! America has enough money to have 2 wars at the same time "Iraq and Afgansistan" but we dont care about all of the young people killing each other? We dont care about all of our drug addcits, not just in the barrios, but in "nice" places like Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades etc..I hope OBABA can change this horrible mess!
