  • I lived in the Florence Dist. since 1983 and have seen racism evolved in this area in 20 years. This article makes no sense, you have not lived here to understand how this problem has evolved. It starts in prisons and ends up in the streets . Get your hands dirty, research before you report on issues that are unfamiliar to you. The people that have commented here are the people that just get home and watch the news instead of going out to see what's going on in their neighborhood. It might be your child that’s racist, just sit there allow it, and listen to some ignorant reporter like Tovar can tell you what’s going on in your neiborhood.

  • Hey David Ybarra, you are really showing your lack of education and your posted comment shows the stupidity of you and people like you. African Americans, have willingly fought and died in ever american war from the beginning of the United States history! That was terriable try to rewrite history, people like you can't hold a candle to the African American experience! This is why immigrants that come here must be educatied and know our laws!

  • I'm Afro-Latina and I associate with African-Americans because of the racism I experience from other Latinos. Not all, but many Latinos ARE racist and the behavior needs to stop. Are there blacks who don't like non-black people, sure, I haven't met them, but I can tell you this. I haven't heard of blacks creating a movement to kill and run other ethnic groups out of their neighborhoods. Hermanos, por favor, viva con todo el mundo con paz!!

  • Spiritually speaking, there is a much different issue for myself and others, which transcends the American civil rights movement. All humans came FROM Africa, and therefore quite possibly the Black man-Original Man.

  • You want to improve "race relations," then deal with illegal immigration!

  • The CIA's plan of divide and conger is working beautifully. They started this in the prisons and now it has moved over into the neighborhoods and cities. When the population is fighting themselves the Empire can continue on with its plans unnoticed.

  • I recently attended a Seminar on the West Coast (LA). The vibe I got there was sad. For all parties concerned, and it goes both ways, there seems to be a power struggle for the bottom rung. And that really makes no sense. We're not the ones stopping each other from the fulfillment of Life, It's the Laws and the subliminal mandate of the State of California. I'm not really surprised about the Duarte situation. That was part of the vibe I felt on that trip. I'll just say this. The tumor in California across the board is malignant, and it is my belief that no amount of surgery will cure the State of it's genetic ills.

  • Mr. Tobar, I am very proud of you f or standing up for the truth. Not only Latins act this way; most foriegn cultures act this way toward the American Black. Our struggle helped all immigrants to have all of their civil rights met. Your parents should be very proud of great man they have raised. Since, President Obama has become the President, there has been a rise in hate crimes all across the country, as well as, Dick Chenney continueing to spread his" war mongoring" ideas. Like James Brown would sing "I am Black and I am proud" to "Live In America" just as you do.
