South L.A. shooting leaves 1 dead, 1 wounded
Two men were shot, one fatally, while waiting for their orders at a burger stand in South Los Angeles this morning, police said.
The 31- and 30-year-old shooting victims were shot by two unknown suspects as they waited with another man outside Tams Fast Food Restaurant, 953 W. Florence Ave., said Los Angeles Police Officer Norma Eisenman. The suspects fled on foot and were last seen headed north on Vermont Avenue, Eisenman said.
The victims’ names have not been released. Both were taken to a local hospital, where the 31-year old died and the other victim was treated for a gunshot wound to his upper torso. He was in stable condition this morning and likely to survive, Eisenman said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact investigators at (213) 485-4164.
