San Diego County Animal Contol officer Lori Brown holds two puppies that were concealed in a speaker enclosure in the back of a pickup truck. The Border Puppy Task Force, comprised of 14 California animal welfare and law enforcement agencies, announced today the results of a two week statistic gathering operation conducted at Otay Mesa and San Ysidro. After checking 1,257 vehicles, the group found 362 puppies under the age of 3 months and 155 puppies between 3-6 months old.
