NEW ORLEANS—
Four residents of Evangeline Parish accused
of staging a car crash have been arrested on insurance fraud
charges.The Louisiana State Police on Wednesday arrested 41-year-old Evelyn Gallow; 40-year-old Ricky Joseph; 57-year-old Jack Rayford; and 56-year-old Curtis Joseph. Gallow is a Mamou resident. The others are from Ville Platte. All four were booked into the Evangeline Parish jail.
The charges stem from a report of a collision between two vehicles. Each of the suspects filed claims with their insurance companies. Police said the crash didn't occur as they had claimed.
