NEW YORK (WPIX)—Six companies are recalling millions of window blinds and shades, after three children who got caught in the cords were killed.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recalls Monday.
Pottery Barn Kids and Williams-Sonoma are recalling 85,000 shades. Ikea Home furnishings is recalling about 120,000 Melina roman blinds.
Additionally, 163,000 thermal sailcloth and matchstick bamboo roman shades sold at Target stores this year and last year are being recalled. They were imported by Victoria Classics of Edison, N.J.
About 245,000 roller shades distributed by Lutron Electronics company are also being recalled.
