Four Oklahoma tornado victims to be laid to rest Friday
Four of the people killed in a tornado earlier this week were to be laid to rest Friday in Oklahoma.
The four are among the 24 victims of Monday’s tornado that devastated the Oklahoma City area, particularly the suburb of Moore.
Funeral services for 8-year-old Kyle Steven Davis, 9-year-old Nicolas Scott McCabe, Randy Smith, 39, and Terri Long, 49, were planned for Friday.

Kyle, affectionately known as the “The Wall” for his presence on the soccer field, was “one of the most fun and lovable kids anyone could ever know,” according to an obituary published by a funeral home.
An adventurous, competitive child, he loved playing soccer, attending monster truck events and riding four-wheelers with his family, the obituary said.
Nicolas was “a bright young man with an ornery grin who adored his family and friends at Plaza Towers Elementary,” according to his obituary. He loved Legos, listening to country music and hoped to have his own “Pontoon boat” one day.
“Though his years weren’t many, the memories and impressions he left on those he came into contact with is sure to endure forever,” the obituary read.
Long, who loved photography, traveling and Harley Davidson motorcycles, was remembered by a friend, Linda Webb, as an ideal citizen of Moore, one who cared deeply about the community.
Webb said she met Long a few years ago after Long began volunteering at events for Webb’s nonprofit organization, Ally’s House, which raises money to assist families who have children with cancer.
When the organization needed help, Long was always ready to lend a hand.
“She’d be out there in the heat, the cold — no matter what,” she said. “A volunteer for all seasons.”
Smith enjoyed watching movies with his son Dylan, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, his obituary read.
On Thursday, hundreds gathered under stormy skies to mourn 9-year-old Antonia Lee Candelaria, who along with Kyle and Nicolas, were among seven children who died when a tornado leveled the Plaza Towers school in Moore.
