winner Bill Rancic may be returning to the airwaves, this time from Chicago, where he will be--nominally, at least--overseeing the construction of the Trump International Hotel & Tower.
The Hollywood Reporter reported Tuesday that NBC executives are considering a spinoff series from producer Mark Burnett that would follow Rancic as he tackles the project, which is expected to take three years.
On Monday, Rancic weighed in, telling the syndicated entertainment TV program "Access Hollywood"
that "it's happening," when asked about the spinoff.
NBC had no official comment.
declined to confirm the reports, but said of the spinoff: "It could happen.
"It's a very exciting idea," he said. "I think it's going to highlight the project, and it's going to highlight Chicago, and it's going to highlight Bill, and I like all of those things."
