Widows

Barbara Allen and Siobhan Esposito lost their husbands in Iraq in June 2005, when prosecutors say Staff Sgt. Alberto Martinez detonated an explosive that killed 1st Lt. Louis Allen and Capt. Phillip Esposito. The widows have attended more than three years of hearings for Martinez, whose military trial is expected to end next month, and they've found solace in their shared pain. Barbara calls Siobhan “my life partner.” Siobhan calls Barbara “my faux spouse.”
