CIA Director David Petraeus unexpectedly resigned in November, citing “extremely poor judgment” after engaging in an extramarital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell. The investigation has widened to include an examination of emails between Gen. John Allen, commander of U.S. and international forces in Afghanistan, and Jill Kelley, a Florida socialite who is a friend of Petraeus, Allen and their wives.
