Times Wire Reports

A U.S. Navy vessel has rescued 52 people from a boat that had been adrift for a week in the Gulf of Aden, infamous for pirate attacks and the deaths of hundreds of Somali migrants trying to reach Yemen.

A Navy statement said the crew of the cruiser Lake Champlain provided medical care to the men, women and children, some of whom were dehydrated, after rescuing them Saturday.
