Hans Liepmann

Physicist Hans Liepmann, who specialized in aerodynamics and fluid mechanics, received multiple honors for his work. During World War II he taught high-speed aerodynamics to engineers at Douglas and Lockheed aircraft companies. He also served as director of Caltech's Graduate Aeronautical Laboratories from 1972 to 1985.
