Economic stimulus and public works must get the nation to work building healthy, livable communities for all. Bailouts for banks and automakers are not enough. Infrastructure projects must include parks, schools, affordable housing, transit, public art, youth job programs, and green jobs. People of color and low income communities must receive their fair share to alleviate unfair disparities. The solutions to many urban problems obesity, no place to play, little hope for disadvantaged youth must be tied to vision for a new America.

You belong with the Leihman (sp?) Brothers and all of the other men of your culture who put MONEY above Heart, Mind and body.
While those of your culture bury their lies and deception in mud, you have the nerve to criticize someone who is trying to turn around the economic crises created by bush and his lousy advisors.....who of course are only interested in themselves.
You are a sad man and your words should not be allowed to be published in a widely read periodical of any kind.

Well, here is an interesting take on Obama's package (and I hope it does not make Goldberg jealous)

It's clear that YOU, Goldberg have been trying to get that VERY last drop of the last Cheeney KoolAide shipment but it has finally COMPLETELY burned your brain.
Dave at number 4 asked the operative question "have you been asleep for the last 8 years?" The answer is obviously no, BUT it is obvious that you're still duct-taped to Hannity and Limberger's hub caps and will never break loose.
That's actually a good thing since you and the rest of you disappearing Klan will sweep the toilet clean of your kind.

Maybe you should just shut up and give Obama a chance. After eight years of kissing Bush's butt and being an apologist for the Republican party---take a break for a few years.

Sure, let's take financial advice from a right-winger.

The definition of "insanity" is continually doing the same thing, but expecting a different outcome. Why would any thinking Citizen expect that Government, the creator of this economic debacle, could be trusted to solve it?
wcmillionairre @ 3:01 PM PST, Jan 13, 2009
The fundamentally-flawed proposition here, is the belief that Government knows anyting about anything. Should we start with the idea that Government is simply a conglomerate of power-hungry individual politicians striving only for the expansion and retention of their own personal power and wealth, we will not be disappointed...and should be enlightened as to what "Government" can actually achieve.

Without a doubt, Goldberg is as blatantly audacious as he is a total airhead. His canned government is bad thing, because they don't know anything thought, is laughable at best. One only has to look to see how our capitalist market leaders have run the people into the wall time after time. One only needs to look back over history to see that government attention has clearly benefited America. The classic is the defense industry, but I have to ask, how would the folks in Marin County get to San Francisco if there wasn't for the Golden Gate Bridge. Goldberg, you need to start thinking harder.

Yes...the TARP was absolutely needed. The banks got the money, and did nothing with it.
The crisis of confidence may actually have been made by Paulson.
October and November were two lost months in American economic life, as everyone was paralyzed by the fearful screaming from the rooftops.
And yet, what have they done with the bailout money? Nothing.
