Can you comment on Obama and your mestizo book. I think it would be very interesting. There's a phrase that more or less says: America (the continent)existed in the dreams of the Europeans. I think it still applies and talks about that hope that is still is a motor in our lives.

Hope, on any level be it individual or state, is utterly useless unless it is backed by a concrete, finely detailed plan. Blind, flailing hope built on emotion filled clouds will crash violently leading to disillusionment, anger, and backlash. We are not right at all to cheer the majority of what spews forth from Obama.
