Commentors 1, 2, & 3: why don't you debate his points rather than making boneheaded ad hominems? I'm guessing it's because that's all you've got.
Joe Biden is THE master at baffling with bullshit. It works well with the clueless and children, so therefore with most lefties. It doesn't work so well with people that actually pay attention.

Biden didn't trash her for a reason. All he had to do was answer the questions. We don't want people to have sympathy for that lady.

Jonah, Come back after you have some experience, self touted or actual , rather than happenstance of birth. You are windier tha Biden. And man can he talk.
Bruce @ 4:44 PM PDT, Oct 7, 2008
Wow JOnah I commend you for your masterfully crafted neocon article - it makes me want to go bulimic. Actually, it was a terrific piece - so good i asked President Cheney, i mean Bush, to come to my house to read it.
A masterful work of monumental importance i gotta say.

Thanks for the analysis, Jonah. And yes, it IS depressing how the 'mainstream' media has thrown off any pretense of objectivity. From the Couric interview of Palin that was so chopped up that it was pratically incoherent, to the cutting of McCains speech before he discussed economics, then complaints from the LAT that he didn't discuss economics! To the dozens of 'reporters' combing Alaska for any dirt on Palin, to the total lack of interest in Obama's lack of accomplishments, and finally to giving Biden a total pass on 14 easily provable lies during the VP debate, it's pretty bad. Thanks for a breath of fresh air!

I keep asking why the LA Times continues giving you a forum to vent your ignorance? You remind me more of Sarah Palin than Sarah Palin reminds me of herself...
G.L. Moore @ 4:15 PM PDT, Oct 7, 2008
It amazes me how many comments in here calling Palin an Idiot. Before her, its was Bush 1 and 2 and before them, Reagan was called the same. Seems all republicans are idiots.
Obama said there are 57 states, clearly he misspoke, and no mainstream source aired it. However if Palin had done the same, it would have been the top story at every source.
Biden makes similar mistakes and no one covers it.
Hmmmmmmm

Ah, Goldberg. While all legitimate intellectualism from the right has conceded a big "whoops" over the embarrassing choice of Palin, you, continue in the grand tradition of such self-inflated, neocon bluster as Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly. Doubtless, you missed the memo: the articles of faith handed down by Milton Friedman - and by extension, of Ronald Reagan - have been conclusively proven false by recent economic events. And if Joe Biden is a gasbag, you sir, are a fascist propagandist.
Jack @ 4:12 PM PDT, Oct 7, 2008
Just for your info, Article I of the Constitution does define the role of the VP as it relates to votes in the Senate in the case of a tie. That was the issue that Biden responded to in the debate. He managed to do that from memory while you, who had the opportunity to look it up, failed to see the point.
Tim House @ 4:08 PM PDT, Oct 7, 2008
Considering the length of Mr Goldbergs comument{never heard of him},. He is really the gasbag. Who says that his statements are true anyway.Joe Biden is an intellegent man with years of experience in the government. As to his appearance on the debate, he could have said nothing and beaten the ding-dong from Alaska. She is ::Ccharley McCCarthy to McCains Edgar Bergen.Without hernotes she would be speechless.
