The GOP, a casualty of war
1.
any speculation about November is just that until the Democrats pick their candidate and if
there is a reconciliation. The Polls will change significantly after this happens
Unless there is no reconciliation then McCain's Biography and meager resources will have to stand up to
yes the Iraq war and anything that happens in the next 6.5 months
The Economy in the macro and the housing crisis in the micro
and it points to victory and possible blowout by the Democrats
2. If the country doesnt steer away from the Right and dump the Pharisaic religious right with their pseudo christianity our national symbol will soon be the swastika.
3. Dream On: You're dreamin'.
4. Neither of the Democratic candidates will overcome their huge negatives and convince the US voting population that they will be better as President than McCain. Neither one is even close to qualified. The media (and Rosa) might like to think they can goad the people into their candidate, but it ain't gonna happen. Plus can you IMAGINE the left turn this country would take embracing socialism with open arms with both congress and the Presidency beholden to Soros and Moveon.org? UGH
5. Wishful thinking Rosa! Senator McCain is now at par with Senator Obama in the latest polls. He will be the President Elect in November.
6. "STUDENT" wrote: "I am a registered Republican. . . While the war was executed incompetently, the Dems are even more incompetent when it comes to financial matters." Dear "Student": The GOP has had control of ALL branches of gov't for 6 years - and look at their reckless financial management! Remember the Clinton (democrat) surplus? PLLEEAASSSEEE wake up and think critically? Thanks.
7. I listened to Romney's last speech and thought that I was a conservative and didn't know it - until he took a left turn and started talking about how we still don't spend enough on our military. Hold on there for just a second. We spend more than the entire rest of the world COMBINED - closing in on $1 trillion dollars annually when you add in the cost of the wars. What Republican's apparently mean by fiscal responsibility is they want to cut spending on everything, (but increase pork), and take those cuts and spend it on building bombs! That's only part of the Republican BS that people may be beginning to realize.
8. I continue to be astounded that there must still be a substantial number of people that either don't get it (the Iraq tragedy) or who are making a killing off of the war. If this were not so, McCain probably would not be getting any contributions, the Republicans probably would not be able to continue to block the Democrats, and Bush likely would be impeached.
9. Don't make the mistake of assuming that the shift from the Republican Party signifies any allegience toward the Democratic party . I am a registered Republican who considers herself "right of center." While the war was executed incompetently, the Dems are even more incompetent when it comes to financial matters. I've decided to write in "Ron Paul" or to skip the voting booth altogether.
10. We are in Iraq because Bush took his eye off the ball. Osama is LAUGHING at us because he is still free and Bush fell right into his trap. We are in a quagmire both in Iraq, and financially, due to this enormous blunder. We have been stripped of rights, spied on, economically bled to death,l and had over 4000 of our bravest sacrificed by this administration. If these people cannot see, or admit to any of this, then they have once again put party before country and will continue to vote against their own best interests come November.
