I know I sure am suffering from this disorder. I feel like the world is holding its breath. Or maybe that's just everyone I know.

I can affirm that ECD has spread not only to Canada but even to its French enclave nation Quebec. If I were twenty years younger, I'd be down in the U.S. working for Obama. Instead, I have to feed this need to contribute by keeping up to date, correcting the local underinformed media, misinformed friends and educating my grandsons. When the telephone rang after the obamamercial, they just knew it was me. Now I have to go and check out fivethirtyeight.com - must be something I missed! Thanks. Vesta from Quebe City

My mom called to tell me to read this-saying that she thinks she knows what my problem is...ECD. I couldn't believe I missed this article as I have been on this website about 4 times today, along with the Huffington Post, CNN, MSNBC, the NyTimes, and Times (London) amoung others. So thank you for putting a name on this and for letting me know that I am not alone... is it the 4th yet? and where can I find a 3 step program in my area?

Oh, yes, I'm also a ECD sufferer. I check all the polls, read all the websites. I'm going nuts and can't wait until Tuesday.
In other news...
I already have TWO bite spacers, one for the top teeth, one for the bottom teeth. They have saved my untold TMJ pain and root canal treatments.

I think Brian Rathburn is only half right. Some people do vote "socio-tropically" and they are called "democrats" Those who vote soley for their economic self-interests can usually be found in the other party.

I have voted in every election since I turned 18 including when I was sitting on an island in the Indian Ocean. IVE HAD ENOUGH!!! We watch very little news at my house and more DVD's than ever just to avoid the onslaught of horrible political ads from which you never learn anything real. My plan for Nov 4 is to vote before work, have a nice dinner at home and go to bed early all without out turning on the television or terrestrial radio.

Yes, this is true. I spend every night watching all the cable tv news about the election& I am so tired. I want this the end already! Patt, thanks for the excellent article!

I think I am suffering from what this woman call elective compulsive disorder. I have all the symptoms.
