  • McCarthy had good reason to weed out communists in the U.S., just look at the Democrat Party, they are plum full of them and this isn't just rhetoric - all you have to do is look at their agendas and policies and you won't be able to make the difference between Obama and Pelosi over Lenin and Stalin.

  • so "...that worldwiew has been demolished" by a trial which "...overstepped bounds and enhanced testimony to guarantee a conviction." So much for JUSTICE...

  • >>The Democratic Party and the Communist Party are very different entities. Lumping them together as the 'Left' is insidious and inaccurate professor. Funny j hill, the professor never mentioned the Democratic Party once in his article. It's interesting that you make the leap toward associating the Democrats with the Communists though.

  • Dr. Radosh, thank you for an updated and comprehensive overview of the Rosenberg case. Sadly, Ethel Rosenberg was used by her husband as a facade of innocence. That Julius had less love for his wife and sons than his political affiliates is evident. HIs wife died as a result of his hand, and his sons have lived under the curse of Julius' lies. To hope that this information will give the leftists reason to question their false beliefs is an adventure in futility.

  • There's ample documented evidence of U.S. government frame-ups and conspiracies (from the Tonkin Gulf to Geronimo Pratt). The Sobell confession, may confirm the Rosenberg's guilt, but doesn't undermine the strong cases that Abu-Jamal and other political prisoners like Leonard Peltier are innocent. It's a logical fallacy to argue that a mistaken belief in the innocence of one party proves the guilt of other parties. Nor does Sobell's confession remove the possibility that the Rosenbergs were both guilty AND framed. (And what is "enhanced testimony" but framing?)

  • Driving a car for a murder is entirely different than killing someone, regardless.

  • Funny that this turd thinks that "liberals" even remember the Rosenbergs... Welcome to the 21st century jackass.

  • Thank God for Julius and Ethel: true patriots who gave up thei r llives tselflessly to end war amd American arrognace, bullying and hegenomy-which is the t reatest purveyor human misery on the planet.

  • The use of Sobell's confession as a vehicle for condeming 'the left' is nothing short a FOX News stunt. I would have preferred to read more commentary on the actual confession than to see its import twisted into a finger-pointing shouting match at how the left is inherently anti-american. That's an entirely boring tactic by now. Frankly, you've brought nothing to this discussion except your own preconceived notions. Is this how you teach your students?
