All the way from the other side of the world..please do not elect such ignorancy intop the White House you americans. Show that the last eight shambolic years, albeit totally your fault for having voted bush into power, have taught you something!!!! Of course palin is pro life, her irresponsable bad parented teenage daughter is pregnant!
It is time for change...

There's something to be said for electing someone who doesn't have too much political experiance--and thus has not been trapped into being allies with anyone but the US. That perhapse they've not had billion dollar companies nudge them in the ribbs and say: "I'll fund your campagne if you help me out a little from the top...." (ie. Oil Companies to Bush).
Nor is it reasonable to pick someone merely based on their gender, or expect the general public to do so (yet many individuals did this with Hillary...).
Tuely, I view a vote for McCain as hoping for the lesser of two evils.

Great!!! We could have the American Taliban a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt when I first heard of the selection and had no idea who she was. But when I heard her speech, the first thing that came to mind, trailer trash. Sorry, she is not presidential material. Not even close. The other world leaders will not be able to take her seriously. We will be the joke of the world.

This is so scary. The thought of this woman becoming President was the first thing that popped into my mind seeing as how McCain already has one foot in the grave. This is a very real and frightening possibility and should this occur it will be curtains for our country. That's it. The fat lady will have officially sung. Thanks again Sam for your work. Brilliant as usual.

Wow, what about the milllions of skin obsessed fans that will vote entirely for Obama on the degree color?
It's never ok to be racist or sexist. So quit trying to stir it up.
By the way, according to the premise of your argument, we should have nothing but sunshine....I mean, after all, isn't our Congress made up of rich, white, smart, ABOVE AVERAGE men? Look where electing them has gotten us?

I was not even going to vote this election, but then John McCain chose Sarah Palin as his running mate. With the likelihood that the next President will appoint at least 2 Supreme Court Justices in the next term; there is no way I want this too-far-to-the-right nutbag anywhere near those decisions. Furthermore, the McCain campaign's responses to valid questions in the past week (see Alaska is the closest state to Russia) is insulting to my intelligence. He must really believe that we are idiot Americans. I find that offensive.

Dear Sam Harris,
Your thoughts on this matter are also mine. I am very worried about our future. I will do everything in my power & ethics to help Obama win.
Alyce Hudnell @ 2:49 PM PDT, Sep 8, 2008
If you think Ms. Palin is average.... I suppose that you think Obama is Christian, experienced and doesn't sling mud too!!!!

I would rather have the first woman president of these United States than the first Muslim president.
