I am pretty sure California's economy can survive no gays for a day, month, or year. Stop your pouting and accept that the majority of Californians do not support same-sex marriage. These protests and attacks on specific religions and races do not help your cause either. Why aren't gays going nuts in Florida or Arizona where propositions similar to Prop 8 passed with flying colors. You lost....Get over it!!

I agree we gays have to stop wandering around aimlessly and focus but I question how effective the "day without a Latino" was though.
I live in Los Angeles but I would love to have your efforts succeed, but I didn't even notice. What do you feel you gained from it?
ilikestuff @ 10:23 AM PST, Nov 14, 2008
Uh. The problem is a lot of gays aren't out, for fear of the bigotry and prejudice that could endanger their jobs and their safety. No one would have a true sense of how many people this Proposition has hurt.

Yes on 8 passed thanks to our wonderful democratic system and California voters. No to Gays demands! A prayer for the hateful gay and lesbians out there. God Bless You!

Less traffic for those of us that feel marriage is between a man and a woman.

Sonja has gay friends?
Ummm not any more!
+++ NEWS FLASH ++++
Sonja Eddings Brown is currently "on leave" from her communications assignment with the Mormon Church to serve as one of the official spokespeople for YesOn8 campaign office.

PLEASE...
Do your homework. The Latino boycott was a failure as many feared losing their jobs too much to take the day off. It doesn't work and it certainly won't garner sympathy for your cause. Give employers a reason to cut more jobs in an alread tough economy. That may help.
The people have spoken so the community will need to come up with a better strategy and boycotts and protests.

I can't understand why gay marriage would have any impact on straight marriage - they are the ones who have to save their own marriages - Isn't it supposed to be "equal rights for all" in this country - why are we still holding on to victorian ways in this day and age. I always say live and let live - besides, the contributions by gays to our society are too numerous to mention. Let's have an open mind!!

Back to basics:
1. Is Marriage a fundamental right?
2. Can gays be considered a "community"?
3. Why is nobody asking these questions?

It would be great if galleries would turn all the art toward the wall, cover up the sculptures with cloths, cover buildings with cardboard (that may be a problem) Get women to wear housecoats instead of designer clothing. Just some ideas.
