  • The choice of Palin obviously depicts Mccain as someone lacking good judgment and intellectual depth. He is clutching at straws. He is definitely not cerebral in any way. He comes across as a bull in a china shop.

  • pw: Get real. The media´s questioning her credentials and policy positions is not elitist or about personal destruction. It is about finding out relevant information for voters about a candidate for Vice President. And it is disturbing Palin´s supporters want to avoid this discussion, smear it as character assassination, and focus on fake issues like lipstick. What does that say about Palin´s merit?

  • After 8 years of blunt incompetence by a 'cowboy', do people really want a 'hockey mom' in the white house? Have they still not grasped the caliber of the White House leadership position, and how it affects their own lives? Does Iraq not matter anymore, etc. Just another 'she's like me' mistake. As was what elected Bush. GOP have an easy time manipulating their voter-base, clearly.

  • Referring to the government's bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Palin opined that the two had "gotten too big and too expensive to the taxpayers," displaying abysmal ignorance of the fact that only now will those privately owned banks become a huge taxpayer obligation, as the federal government takes them over. Nor can the meltdown of home values be traced to those two beleaguered institutions, because they did not make the original subprime mortgage commitments.

  • Great job Tim! Your spin is not a spin. It is fact! Since the McSame campaign selected the Alaskan celebrity machine Britney Palin, the poll numbers are very tight. I can't wait to see the debates when the lawyers take on the Journalist from the University of Idaho and the guy who finished 894th out of 899 at the Naval Academy. Do we really need to elect a President from the same party three times in a row? Another 490 billion for the war in Iraqistan? Our Treasury will be broke, and we'll beg Canada for assistance...make the correct choice people.....watch the debates!

  • Hey, PDT how in the hell can the press distort and destroy this "Patsie" when she refuses to be interviewed. The American public knows little or absolutely nothing about this person from Alaska. Alaska has two highways, one goes to Fairbanks and the other to Canada. Alaska has no income tax, they divide the number of residents into the oil money and send everyone a check. She cut 60% from the fund to aid disabled. She lies alot. She abuses her authority. REMINDS ME OF BUSH 43! whiteagle38

  • As an Alaskan born and raised, stunned by McCain's choice of our novice governor, I would have to say to the rest of America, pray to God that McCain doesn't win. If he does win, then pray to God he doesn't die. Growing up in a small town has many advantages. The disadvantages of pettiness, limited vision and rote thinking are very real and absolutely terrifying.

  • I would like her to stop the lying. Tell the truth, Sarah, you'll feel better.

  • Alan from Oregon, I hope you were joking. If not, you really need to get off the Kool-Aid. McCain-Palin '08 makes California secession look really great.

  • When will the Democrats start talking about the issues instead of Sarah Palin? Liberals keep saying how important the "issues" are this year. So why is Sarah Palin's tanning bed issue number one these days? P.S. Don't tell me that Dick Durbin doesn't go to a tanning booth.
