Not enough credit is being given to the role the record breaking cost of gas played in the downward spiral of our economy. We have so much available to us in the way of FREE energy sources such as wind and solar. We have modern technologies such as hybrid and electric plug in cars. Why don't we invest in America becoming energy independent. 168 billion would go a LONG way towards getting some of these things set up plus would create millions of badly needed new jobs. Jeff Wilson has a new book out called The Manhattan Project of 2009 Energy Independence NOW.great read!

What Congress, the Senate, and the President are arguing about is whether or not 10 million more Americans will lose their jobs and whether or not this country will maintain any manufacturing capability at all.
The unemployment costs to the taxpayers, should they fail to provide our automakers loans, will exceed $200 billion per year. It definitely is a no-brainer so, even these people should not be having this much trouble making a decision.

THE EMPLOYEE FREE CHOICE ACT does not bring about "the abolition of secret ballots in union organizing elections".
What it does do is give workers the ability to unionize. It also provides penalties for those companies who interfere with workers who want to unionize or want to discuss unionizing.
The Labor movement is what help create the middle class.Yes it stumbled 20-30 years ago, but we see what happens to the middle class when Labor is weakened.
THE EMPLOYEE FREE CHOICE ACT will pass and it will be a keystone in rebuilding the middle class.
