I'm disappointed in Gwen Ifil. Isn't it her job to make sure the candidates answer the questions? Palin often disregarded the question and spoke of other things. Biden showed he is extremely knowledgable and doesn't need notes. It's scary to think that Palin was simply repeating info she was fed recently and that 2 months ago she probably had no knowledge of the subjects she spoke about at the debate.

This editorial is about the worst piece I have read. Low expectations resulted in Sarah Palin "you betcha" result. This editorial board better get someone with an IQ higher than John McCain's age.

I will say that Gov. Palen done a lot better Performance. . most of the Time Biden had smurk on his face plus all the lies he told. when Gov. Palin said that Obama and Biden would hold the White Flag up on the war in IRAQ she was 100 % right. Our Troops have almost won the war and Biden and Obama will Disgrace our troops by sending our Troops home. Just like when i was in Vietnam we could have won the war but the DEM. President had no guts and help let 59000 solders die Invain. The Vietnam war could have been won in 64. I was there then so i know for sure.

I don't know what debate this editor was watching last night but it was not the same one I watched. I found Joe Biden very articulate and specific in his responses while Sarah Palin talked around the questions or just outright dodged them while relying on her cutesy, aw-shucks, you betcha, wink-wink image to win points. I want a VP who shows me that they have the substance and intelligence to guide this country. Sarah Palin has neither.

Brian said: Are you serious? Biden was articulate, concise and clear in expressing complex thoughts and ideas. He did not wander.<> Very true. at least 14 of his "complex thoughts" were diametrically opposite of what Americans used to call "truth." In other words - He sure didn't wander - he prevaricated for most of 90 minutes. - Refer to comment 18 - for one of his more egregious attempts at revisionist history.

She got drilled, baby, drilled in this debate.

Sarah Palin, where do I begin. Tolerant. Global Warming not man-made Can't rebut Has no substance Like a reindeer in headlights Not fit for Vice President.
Gobe @ 4:01 PM PDT, Oct 3, 2008
Many are talking about the lies Biden said. Let's count how many Bush has said in 8 years.

Palim is NOT " every woman" as some have suggested. Her wealth is more than I have, her husband is not Mr. Mom, but leaving the children to travel with her, and on and on. Don't say she represents me....I am intelligent, have debated on TV, have never aborted a child, have been in political jobs, and on and on. I still would not say I am qualified to run a country...neither is Palim

I cannot believe how polarized America has become. My best friend, a very intelligent older lady, just spoke to me abut the wonderfu debate that Palim did. A Master's Degree, and my friend still thought this idiotic rambling is what we want in a future President(?)? Sadly, we all will get want we want, one way or the other...someone to hate and/or someone to love. Just depends if you are Democrat or a Repulican.
