  • If people vote No on these propositions we are going to face huge budget shortfalls AGAIN. I don't like them either, but....

  • Well, you could have knocked me over with a feather when I read (above) that The Times wasn't in favor of unlimited spending a taxpayer's paycheck confiscation as would be the deal with a Yes vote on Prop 1-B. At this point, I have a small modicum hope for L.A.'s Grand ol'Rag: (a) With the pending loss of a job, the paper has decided against picking pockets (for now.) (b) common financial sense has landed in La-La Land and/or (c) George Skelton was out having what's left of his hair done at the time this opinion was penned. I'd like to think it was (a) and/or(b) ... but I'm leanin' toward (c). Man! Colin
