The usual nonsense. The opposition supporters are "crowds", while the Sandinista supporters are "mobs". There must have been fraud, b/c the US stooges lost, despite all their funding from "NED", "IRI" and other CIA fronts. I predict a "color revolution", ie, a military coup with middle class support breathlessly praised as "restoration of democracy" in these pages.

I have been a subscriber of the LA Times since 1981 and most of the articles published in your newspaper have supported the Sandinistas. I imagine that delayed you from writing about the blantant power grab that Daniel Ortega and his mobs are trying to accomplish with the recent fraudulent elections. Ortega controls the electoral council and the army. The police force is doing little to protect the rights of the 62% of the people that are not sandinistas in Nicaragua. If Ortega is allowed to steal this election it will be the end of democracy in Nicaragua. The only way to stop him is by a vote recount with international observers.
